Emily Tracy was commissioned by The Thames Festival to design and co-ordinate a project for 125 London primary schools to take part in a collaborative visual arts project. The resulting piece was installed on The SouthBank, London, for the week leading up to and during the festival. The Wishing Tree was 6 metres high, internally lit and was made up of boxes containing miniature drawings by each child that took part. The project highlighted recycling and reducing waste. Each box was made from juice cartons.
