Tracy & Hobbs installed an exhibition of their films at a pop-up gallery in January 2014, showing ’Water Folk’, ‘Moths: Night’ an experimental film using light drawing, the scientific films of Malcolm Burrows showing Moths jumping as well as ‘Little Skipper’ by Elizabeth Hobbs.
The artists collaborated with Jussi Paivein, a Finnish conservationist, to run an animation workshop exploring moths at The Waldorf Steiner School, Jyväskylä. We worked with year 9 children to make flipbooks and thaumotropes using specimens of Finnish Moths and scientific films by Malcolm burrows.
