Emily will be working with Kew Gardens to design and make a hanging chandelier artwork for their 'Temple of imagination'. Emily will be making an artwork inspired by the gardens' History and Kew Palace, and will be working with a local community group to construct elements of it. The Temple of Imagination was designed and made by Artist Sofie Layton in 2008 as a pavilion reminiscent of the many follies and summerhouses which used to be sited at Kew.
Create KX has awarded Sophie Charalambous, Helen Maurer and Emily Tracy a grant to make a light installation at The St.Pancras Boating Club for The REVEAL festival. The project will celebrate the life of the canal, the boating community and the history of the Kings Cross Area. The project will offer a series of workshops for boaters who use and live on the Regent’s Canal between Camden and Islington to make illuminated sculptures and lanterns to decorate their narrowboats. These creations will then become an amazing illuminated water installation for 3 nights at the Kings Cross basin, Regents Canal. The work will be on display 22nd April- 25th April 2010. Up Coming Projects:

Emily Tracy and Sophie Charalambous will be returning to The British Museum to continue some collaborative projects with 2 community groups. The project will focus on printmaking and will look at the current ‘Revolution Paper. Mexican prints 1910-1960’ Exhibition.

Take a look at the photos from the fantastic Day of The Dead celebration at The British Museum, which Emily collaborated on with Sophie Charalambous and Mandinga Arts. Also newly added are photos from this year’s Thames Festival called The Hive and images from Comings and Goings, a new collaboration with animator Elizabeth Hobbs.
This summer was busy working on The Thames Festival with 140 primary schools, year 7 young people at Lillian Baylis School and fantastic families at Gayhurst Primary School.
Emily is working with award winning Elizabeth Hobbs of Spellbound Animations on an installation for Shunt Lounge. Emily and Lizzy are making a site-specfic stop frame animation projecting shadow on to the subterranean architecture. The work will be available to see from 7th- 18th October. In June Emily will be working with The British Museum and Kew Gardens on their ‘Indian Summer’ Programme. She will be leading a project with women from the local communities around each institution to create artwork inspired by the exhibition.

In July Emily will be working with Creative Partnerships school: Kidbrooke on their arts festival. Emily will be working with the language department to devise and make a lit sculpture/installation.
