The Butterfly House (2007)

Designed and Constructed: Emily Tracy Maximilian Marshall as ‘Lumina’
Lumina designed this participatory project for London primary schools, which looked at waste produced by the U.K, and focussed on plastic bags. Each child brought 5 bags from home and used them to make a flower. Flowers from 140 primary schools were assembled on a dome structure. The piece was lit internally, the audience was invited to view the piece from the inside as well as externally.
